The assembly method of the hydraulic cylinder greatly affects the sealing performance of the seals. Please note the following:
- Thoroughly remove all impurities from the inner surface of the cylinder barrel and the inside of the pipes.
- When using seals taken from the warehouse, seals with dust, sand, or other foreign matter attached should not be used. Otherwise, leakage may occur.
- Apply hydraulic oil (the same oil used in the machine itself) to the seal, gland, piston rod surface, and inner surface of the cylinder barrel before assembling the hydraulic cylinder.
- Add a bushing to the lip of the seal to prevent it from directly contacting the threads and stepped parts. (P1)
- As shown in Figure (P2), if it is necessary to allow the seal lip to pass directly through the hydraulic pressure hole, gently push the lip with a round rod (resin). This prevents the chamfered part of the hole from damaging the seal lip. When drilling hydraulic pressure holes directly on the cylinder barrel, make a chamfer as shown in Figure (P3).
